Page Turning Writers Put Pen to Paper for a Brand New Contest
Livonia, MI (PRWeb) January 29, 2006 - Every writer has a story to tell, and almost every writer has a dream book brewing in the back of their minds, but it's not always easy to get the motivation to make that book a reality. FaithWriters.com and Finesse Writing and Editing Service understand that completely, and have joined forces to create a writing contest that will provide all the incentive any author could need.
The Page Turner Writing Contest is open to all members of the FaithWriters 500. These members are people who have recognized the value of FaithWriters.com and have committed to help support the site financially. In return, FaithWriters.com provides a wide range of special offers, discounts and free services. The Page Turner Writing Contest is the latest and, without question, the largest reward to date.
Deborah Porter, owner of Finesse Writing and Editing Service and longtime supporter of FaithWriters, didn't hesitate to collaborate with FaithWriters.com to provide this new contest. "There are so many incredibly talented Christian writers who really just need the encouragement, incentive and opportunity to become popular, published authors," she said. "The Page Turner Writing Contest will hopefully help at least one member each year get the break they deserve."
Although the focus of the 2007 Contest is the fiction novel, organizers have indicated that this will alternate with non-fiction from year to year, ensuring that every 500 member has the opportunity to participate.
The Page Turner Champion will receive:
-Free editing of their entire manuscript;
-An $800 cash prize, which can be used toward the cost of self-publishing their finished book;
-Free publicity and marketing of their book on all FaithWriters' sites (including -FaithWriters' Magazine) for 12 months;
-A press release to announce their win to the world;
-A press release to promote their book when it is published; and
-A special "Page Turner Champion" award plaque.
To enter, FaithWriters 500 members need to submit the first chapter of their novel, together with a synopsis of the entire book. The judges will be looking for the entry with the strongest "page turning" appeal.
Entries for the 2007 Page Turner Contest will remain open until June 30, with the Page Turner Champion and two runners-up announced on November 30, 2007.

Article Submission and the Freelance Writer
Freelance writing can be so rewarding and fun that it makes writers feel guilty, like they're stealing. For those who chose writing as a profession, possibly more than people in other fields, writing must have been a love and writing ability a blessed gift. If that is the case, then monetary reward is the sweet icing on the cake. Freelance writers can be among the most financially rewarded of all writers, but they must also take the most initiative to make it so. In today's economic climate, consistent submission of articles to article directories is essential to name recognition and future sustained success. It can also be a painstakingly laborious undertaking to accomplish on a regular basis.
