Poetry Audio Books You Can Listen To And Enjoy

Ahh? poetry. Everybody thinks that poetry has that "Je ne sais quoi" like no other literature type has. Maybe it's the mood that puts you in, maybe it's the rhyme, or maybe you just do not know what it is but you love it. Audio books are just as popular as poetry nowadays. Well, maybe I exaggerated a bit; audio books may not just as popular as poetry but are getting more and more popular these days. Think about it, with all you have to do each and every day, when was the last time you read a poetry book, or a book at all, and what did you have to sacrifice to have time to read that book?

If your answer is at least something, then you might consider yourself those new and interesting audio books, because they might just work for you. On your way to work, to the gym or anywhere else you need to go you can always put those headphones and listen to a lovely poetry audio book. Or even better, picture yourself in a nice rainy afternoon, when inside it's warm and cozy and outside is rainy, foggy and a bit too cold for your taste with a cup of tea in your hand ? how could would it be to listen with to those magnificent poetry audio books. It doesn't matter if you like John Keats or Edgar Allan Poe, all you have to do is search for your favorite poetry audio book, and I'm almost sure you will find what you're looking for, mostly because in any respectable online audio book store you will find the world's most appreciated poets. Below, I have listed some poetry audio books that I have listened to and really enjoyed.

Your first question might be "How is this Stepanek fellow?" Actually, it doesn't matter who this Stepanek character is, but if you really want to know he is an award winning poet that has a very rare disease, and touched many lives world wide with his way of writing. Now that changes everything with at least a bit. Stepanek unveils to the world messages of peace and courage and simply fills your heart with every verse.

Classic Comic Verse ? David Timson

This Classic Comic Verse is actually an anthology of poems that have been written throughout the history. In other words you might find just about anything in there from Shakespeare and Rochester to Lord Byron, John Keats and Gay. You can actually say that there is everything for everybody especially since you have satiric and sardonic, romantic but outright nonsensical and many other genres.

The Jack Prelutsky Holiday Audio Collection ? Jack Prelutsky

This poetry audio book has something special compared to many other poetry audio books that you may find in any online audio book store. This poetry audio book has its poems read by Prelutsky himself. But what does Prelutsky write about? Well, he simply writes everything there is about holidays ? from their absurdity to their wonders. This way Prelutsky captures those moments in your childhood with some very enjoyable poems. You can read more about audio book formats and genres at http://www.listentoaudiobooksonline.com
