Crystal Senter Brown releases "Doubledutch", a Book of Poetry and Short Stories

Springfield, MA (PRWEB) June 7, 2006 -- Tennessee native Crystal Senter Brown shares poems written in the past ten years with her debut chapbook “Doubledutch.” Doubledutch skips through topics such as teenager pregnancy, love, poverty, motherhood, families and more. The book also includes the short story “Ladybug”.

Crystal’s nominations in the past year include a 2005 Valley Advocate Singer Songwriter award, an Urban Music Award and a Peacedriven Songwriter’s award. Senter Brown’s poetry has appeared in VIBE magazine, and her songs are currently being played across the US and abroad on radio. Crystal currently hosts the Poetry in the Park series at the Springfield Quadrangle and is working on an anthology of poetry and essays by young girls entitled “Hulahoop”. Hulahoop will be released in Winter 2006-2007.

Doubledutch will be available July 1st at bookstores nationwide, as well as online at amazon.com and crystalsenterbrown.com. Senter Brown will conduct readings in Western Mass to coincide with the release of the book.
